Hello Hermès

I celebrated my "late" twenties this year with an officially-all-grown-up gift: the classic Hermès Heure H Watch. I have coveted the timepiece for a few years now, always keeping my eye out while shopping at vintage boutiques. My last name starts with an 'H' so I thought it could be special, more like a monogramed accessory rather than a branded one. Unfortunately, I was never lucky enough to come across a vintage Hermès watch in near perfect condition... Knowing about my endless hunt, my parents decided to surprise me and splurge on a brand new Hermès Heure H for my special day. I could not have been more thrilled!

Wedding Guest Attire

Add a little vintage sparkle next time you attend a wedding, it's guaranteed to keep your look classic and unique! Vintage rhinestones and formal wear are one of my favorite combinations. I recently wore a 1950's rhinestone necklace as a bridesmaid at one of my best friend's wedding last weekend!

London Travel Guide

Here are a few photos from my recent trip to London. I made sure to pack two of my favorite brooches, which happen to be crowns. I found the pearl crown years ago, while I was still in high school, at a Dallas antiques mall... and the golden Kenneth Jay Lane crown is a recent eBay find! Luckily, for our UK trip, the sun was out and everything was in full bloom! We started in London and took the train up to Edinburgh and drove back down through the Lake District where we got to explore charming little towns sprinkled in between fields of yellow flowers. My favorite day was spent visiting Beatrix Potter's country home in Hill Top. See a list of my favorite highlights below.

Sketch // 9 Conduit Street, Mayfair

That infamous pink room! Be sure to make your high tea reservation ahead of time.

Farm Girl // 59A Portobello Road

My favorite brunch spot by far, a must try is their rose lattes and berry pancakes.

Harrods // 87-135 Brompton Road, Knightsbridge

A historical shopping mall, be sure to get high tea on the top floor!

Selfridges // 400 Oxford Street, Marylebone

Another famous shopping mall, fun for window shopping.

V&A Museum // Cromwell Road, Knightsbridge

A gorgeously curated museum that always features a beautiful fashion exhibit.

Cahoots // 13 Kingly Court, Carnaby

A hidden speak easy style cocktail bar that used to be a train station.

My Vintage Jewelry Collection

I have grown up collecting vintage and antique jewelry as well as inheriting family heirlooms here and there. With antique collectors for parents, I always feel right at home while thrifting... finding lost keepsakes and becoming a part of their story is such an enchanting concept to me. With that said, I also want to make an announcement of sorts: My blog, this special place where I get to share my favorite finds, will start to include a behind the scenes look into my new jewelry shop (coming soon!)... something that I hope everyone will love to see and watch evolve.

While my personal jewelry collection, a few favorite pieces shared here in these photos, will not be for sale... I am hoping to collect and offer a similar aesthetic of vintage and antique pieces in my shop along with a capsule collection of fine jewelry designed by me!  I will continue sharing my personal style, travel and other posts here, but my hope is that they will start to revolve mostly around jewelry. I am not really sure how this whole thing will develop, but my wish is for it to be as organic as possible... When I started this blog, it's purpose was meant to be a platform where I could share my inspirations, daily musings and what I wore... in that way, nothing is changing... just maturing. This online space has become very special to me over the years, and I am excited to share this next chapter with you.

Charleston Charm

I spent last weekend exploring downtown Charleston in my new favorite gladiator sandals from Cecelia. The city stole my heart and I am already planning my next trip back! Now onto what’s most important; the food! I thought I would share a few of my favorite places to grab meals and sweets.

Parlour Deluxe

For homemade root beer floats, marshmallow fluff on top of ice cream and pimento cheese sandwiches.

Cannon Green

For the best local and seasonal meal you will ever have, save room for dessert!

Zero George

For deviled eggs and cocktails in a charming setting. This is also Cannon Green's sister restaurant.

Sugar Bakeshop

For lemon curd, vanilla blueberry cupcakes and other delectable desserts!

Happy Travels!
