San Francisco Pinks

Since I love all things pink, I thought I'd share a few of my local Bay Area favorites that are all about that pastel  hue.

A cafe with good coffee, pastries and pretty pink tables, what's not to love? Cafe Rรฉveille is a local favorite, we even took advantage of their decor for our recent Sweet & Spark photoshoot. Also, I am super excited that they just opened a second location closer to home!

Signs of spring have been popping up all over the city like cherry blossom and almond blossom trees. Patrick decided it would be perfect timing to visit the San Francisco Botanical Garden to see their collection of Magnolia trees. So many beautiful pink and white blooms to soak in, I took so many snaps!

After visiting the clothing trade shows or scouting for photoshoots, Jillian and I always find ourselves grabbing lunch at Blue Barn down in the Marina. I love walking around surrounded by all the pastel pictaresque houses, we even spotted this baby pink vespa scooter last time we were there!

Charmed I'm Sure

Keepsakes, charms, lockets and anything that can be monogrammed has been a reoccurring theme when it comes to jewelry in my life. I love making my own charm pendants, and I have created multiple charm bracelets over the years (including my Juicy Couture charm bracelet from high school, very iconic). I think my fascination with miniature charms began after I inherited my Aunt's sterling silver charm bracelet from the 1960's when I was in 1st grade, my favorite charm of hers was the tiny cheerleader megaphone. Recently, I have had so much fun creating our new charm collection over at Sweet & Spark with Jillian. We absolutely love finding these tiny keepsakes and are constantly gushing over how cute the little critters and retro motifs can be. Take a peek for yourself! P.S. We'll be re-stocking charms for Spring.

Sweet & Spark Vintage Charms

Girls on the Gaux

Jillian and I have been hearing so many good things about the new footwear brand Margaux, I am a huge block heel fan and I've had my eye on their suede heels for awhile now. They recently moved into a new shop right down the block from our Sweet & Spark studio, which gave us the perfect excuse to pick out a pair in person and welcome them to the neighborhood. We spend a lot of time on our feet vintage shopping and hosting pop ups, so a practical, flattering heel is a dream find... not too mention they are so COMFY, I might need these heels in every color!

I loved getting to know the girls behind Margaux and I hope you will too, hop on over to the Sweet & Spark blog to read our interview with the founders. If you live in San Francisco, we will be hosting a pop up at their new Fillmore street shop this weekend, stop by to shop vintage jewels and to try out our new favorite shoes!

Where to Buy Vintage Chanel

As many of you know, I am an avid vintage Chanel collector. I have a weak spot for anything circa 1980's through 1990's when it comes to the brand's gold and bold jewelry. I always get asked by friends and followers where I like to shop for consignment Chanel, I even wrote a whole post about how to buy vintage Chanel which talks about how to validate authenticity or date an item. With all that in mind, I have to spill my new favorite place to shop the best, mint condition vintage Chanel jewels... Sweet & Spark! I've been working at Sweet & Spark this past year as creative director and I am thrilled to announce our newest venture into designer costume jewelry. We are in the early stages of curating a higher price point category, so for now we are posting new finds on our Instagram for first come, first buy customers. The two earrings photographed here sold after just two days! But we have more styles coming this Spring, so be sure to follow along and try to snag yourself a pair too.
